NIAXO was created to deliver innovation, process improvement and software solutions, using expertise in business analysis, data science, software development and business change.
The NIAXO team began working on some highly complex technical platforms in September 2019, including projects for the Nuclear Industry and then Central Government in early 2020.
In May 2020, as the Covid-19 pandemic was gripping the UK, the Government initiated a new department hosted by the Cabinet Office, to start to process the vast amounts of data related to the outbreak. That department was to become the Joint Biosecurity Centre (JBC) NIAXO was selected to become the data platform delivery lead, not only to build tools and services for the JBC, but to consider the longer term data strategy.
NIAXO’s solution was to take a one team approach; a holistic platform-focussed group of specialists integrated with platform users to provide flexible Business Change engagement to suit their needs. Dedicated one-to-one points of contact for product owners provided on-demand support, as did the provision of focus and cadence to client transformation initiatives, underpinned by a dedicated training team delivering professionally accredited training, designed and developed in house.
Since the inception of NIAXO, our aspiration has always been to translate innovation into reality. Throughout 2020 NIAXO worked on a programme that has built a new business capability from a high-level strategy into reality in a matter of weeks.
