NIAXO’s Technical Director and Head of Innovation, Tim, was invited by Mark Harrison FSA, Head of the Heritage Crime Strategy at Historic England, to speak at KENT HERITAGE WATCH steering group, hosted by Canterbury Cathedral. As a member of the Heritage and Wildlife Crime Innovation Hub (HaWC-i), Tim presented NIAXO’s existing work in support of the Heritage sector, alongside our academic, and public sector counterparts.
Sharing the stage with HaWC-i partner Dr. MD MOINUL HOSSAIN from the School of Engineering at the University of Kent, Tim was able to give an insight in to some early-stage prototype development work NIAXO has started in support of the Heritage community. We are looking at ways of helping stakeholders of these historic sites risk assess and track any related criminal activity, and link into the wider law enforcement community.
It was clear from this meeting of Kent Heritage Watch that there are many inspiring organisations working hard to preserve the historic environment, reduce crime, and support the wider community looking after England’s historic sites.
At NIAXO, we look forward to strengthening our relationship with all involved and helping to bring innovation to insight ™ to champion the already fantastic work being done by Historic England and our law enforcement partners.
